La Alhambra fue edificada durante el reinado de la dinastía Nazarí, siendo esta la última dinastía musulmana que dominó el Reino de Granada desde 1238 hasta el 2 de enero de 1492. Su caída supuso el final de al-Ándalus. La Alhambra es considerada el máximo exponente del arte nazarí y una de las joyas del arte musulmán de todos los tiempos.

The Alhambra was built during the reign of the Nasrid dynasty, being the last Muslim dynasty that ruled the Kingdom of Granada from 1238 until January 2, 1492. Its fall marked the end of al-Andalus. The Alhambra is considered the finest example of Moorish art and a jewel of Muslim art of all time.
