The Uprooted Photographer has added a photo to the pool:
Fireworks are a different kind of animal when it comes to experimenting techniques. You fiddle around with your dials and before you know it- they're over. Well, I decided to try to shoot them on the 4th of July with my 10-stop ND filter. Knowing that because my exposures would be so long, I wouldn't come home with many shots, I did it anyway. I wasn't able to find much information on shooting fireworks with a 10-stop on the web, so I was really shooting in the blind. What I came out with were two pretty good shots and then several after I took the filter off.
This shot: 132 second exposure, f/11, 10 stop ND filter
