XNR From the Good Side

tltichy has added a photo to the pool:

XNR From the Good Side

The left hand side of the 1960 Plymouth XNR concept car. Designed by then Chrysler design cheif Virgil Exner (hence the name XNR), the car was meant to illustrate the intended design path of Chrysler going into the 1960's. The car was built in Italy by Ghia, a well know coachbuilder with a reputation for stylish and unique cars. (Ghia BTW, is where the VW Karmann Ghia got the second half of its name) This car had not been seen in public for nearly 50 years. The 2011 Amelia Island Concours de Elegance was it's first public debut after a complete restoration.

Amelia Island is coming up soon, unfortunately I won't be able to make it this year. So in mourning ;) I've been looking through some of the shots from last years show. Maybe I'll still find some way to get down there. . . . . . . . . . .
