The City's Reflection

Brock Whittaker Photography has added a photo to the pool:

The City's Reflection

I went out to a range of mountains about fifteen miles south of Maricopa to capture the stars. Unfortunately, the clouds started moving in, so I didn't get the unobstructed skies like I wanted.

The mountains were lit up so nicely by the lights of Phoenix that moved through the valley. It was so easy to see out there, even though it was midnight. Finally after about thirty minutes of shooting, and no sign of the Milky Way, a little patch came up unobstructed for me to photograph. It surely didn't last long though!

Hope you guys enjoy it!

Added notes: This photo was taken with my new Olympus OM 24/2,8. It is a fantastic lens, and really sharp wide open. It has a bit of vignetting, though it disappears at f/4.

Also, I am getting rid of my 5D :(.

I have found it necessary to get a smaller camera. I've been taking lots of photos lately, and the 5D has taken a toll on my neck and back. I am looking into getting either an X-Pro1, or a NEX 5N. Do you guys recommend either? I really like the look of the X-Pro1, but not so much the price.
