Mauna Kea -- Take One (1).
Just a quick snapshot atop Mauna Kea on 20-Jul-2011. The Keck II was tracking some stars with it's laser. subaru was busted with a coolant leak, and Keck I was undergoing a preventive maint or something.

Mauna Kea is quite special -- very dry, close to the equator, minimal atmospheric turbulence, zero (0) light pollution -- home to the world's most advanced earth-based telescopes. And the only place I know where you can go from sea level to fourteen thousand (14,000) feet in just fifty (50) miles by surface streets.
