A model calling herself Star asked this question as she appeared wrapped in a crepe de chine getting herself ready to pose for the camera on a rock at Om beach in Gokarna in 1995, The beach was at that time still pretty paradisical. Perfect conditions for a bit of fun with the camera and with a pretty woman as model. Today the scene is different. The beaches south of Gokarna has in the last fifteen years or so seen an invasion of backpackers and more recently of ordinary tourists. Hotels and guest houses have sprung up.
